JAM SESSION REVIEW: A FINE OL' MESS: 31st July 2022
And a welcome return to form after a few quiet weeks, although clearly Martin (drums), Aneta, Deb, Anthony, Jane, Chass and Peniyo (tonsils), Tim (clarinet), the Good Captain (hot sax), Marion (recorder and piano) Ruth (blues) and her friend who shall remain nameless because we forgot to ask (piano), Serge and Anton (bass), Fermin (guitar) Ashley (drums), with Jonathon and Simon (trumpets or maybe flugel) had nothing better to do and generally played up a storm. Clearly I was too busy thinking up excessively long sentences with oxford commas to score a mention, but rather enjoyed playing piano.
Props then , to Serge for some ace double bass, to the equanimous Anton ditto, to Deb for train wreck of the day (we didn't even finish it), to Fermin (guitar) and to Marion (recorder and a rare outing on piano) for giving me a break; and to Chass for the voice of the session.
A fine ol' mess indeed! And we did get a little messy from time to time, as you should at a Jam. Let's do it some more....
